Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met in Paris, at the Armenian embassy, with representatives of the Armenian community of France active in various fields.
The Acting Prime Minister first held a separate meeting with Ara Toranyan, co-chair of the Coordinating Council of Armenian Organizations of France, and Bedros Terzian, member of the board of trustees and president of a local body in France.
During the meeting with representatives of the French-Armenian community, Nikol Pashinyan addressed the results of the negotiations with President Emmanuel Macron, the circumstances of the 44-day Artsakh war, the steps aimed at resolving the situation created on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, the restoration of the negotiation process for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship, and the possibilities for the full realization of the potential of the Diaspora. In this connection, Nikol Pashinyan highly appreciated the solidarity of the Armenian Diaspora, especially during the days of the war, and the invaluable assistance shown to the homeland.
The Acting Prime Minister gave detailed answers to all questions of interest to the French Armenians.
Nikol Pashinyan’s working visit to the French Republic has ended. The delegation of the Republic of Armenia has arrived in Brussels, where on 2 June it is to have a meeting with the President of the European Council, Charles Michel. A meeting is also planned between the Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Belgium, Alexander De Croo.
