Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces, headed by Minister Davit Tonoyan and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, General Onnik Gasparyan.
The senior officer corps of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia presented to the Prime Minister the situation created by the military operations unleashed by the adversary over the past two days on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, in the Tavush direction, as well as the punitive steps taken by the Armenian forces to restrain the adversary’s actions.
It was emphasized that the situation is under the full control of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia.
During the meeting, possible developments of the created situation and the corresponding actions of the Armed Forces were discussed.
Prime Minister Pashinyan noted that the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia have once again proven that it is not possible to speak with us from a position of strength.
