Once again disregarding all international standards and agreements, Azerbaijan, resorting to provocation, opens fire along Armenia’s northeastern border, targeting the positions of Armenia’s valiant army and areas of the civilian population.
Responding in a manner commensurate with the military operations that took place on Sunday and keeping the military situation under its control, Armenia’s valiant army once again demonstrates heroic resistance and pushes back the enemy.
In view of these developments, the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party, with all its chapters, membership and supporters, expresses its solidarity with our heroic army.
In the face of the tense situation on the border, our call to the civilised nations of the world and international organisations is not only to issue appeals to halt the tension, but also, by giving a proper assessment, to condemn the provocative tendencies of Azerbaijan, which apparently, and particularly at this stage, relies on Ankara’s support and acts with deliberate steps to implement conspiratorial schemes prepared in “dark rooms.”
As for the political agenda, the ADL expresses its full support to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, and the government he heads, knowing full well that under today’s conditions any political calculation, discussion, commentary or assessment is untimely and irrelevant.
“Unity is strength.” It is with these meaningful words that we address our ranks, our friends, our supporters and the entire Armenian nation. Unity, when black clouds have gathered over the homeland’s skies, and unity, when the security of our country and the safety of our compatriots are under threat.
The ADL, remaining faithful to its principles, calls upon all leading bodies of the homeland and the diaspora to remain unanimous and stand by Armenia’s valiant army and the homeland’s authorities.
