During his working visit to the US, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met in Los Angeles with the leadership of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party of the Western US, headed by the party’s chairman, Dr. Raffi Balian.
Welcoming the representatives of the leadership of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party of the Western US, the Prime Minister of Armenia stated: «Dear colleagues, dear Mr. Balian, I am very pleased with today’s meeting. This is a very good opportunity to meet and discuss in Los Angeles. Of course, today we will have several opportunities to meet and discuss. We highly value the role of your organisation in the cause of Armenian preservation in general, both within the Republic of Armenia and beyond its borders.
We also make this emphasis during our meetings with our other partners. One of the most important tasks of our government is not only to preserve and develop the positive atmosphere that exists between the government of Armenia and the Diaspora, but also to make it permanent and a tradition for all governments of Armenia. In our current situation, our task is to concentrate, double, and triple the successes and turn them into a national, pan-national result. For this, it is very important to build the right atmosphere in relations with the Diaspora, to create the right working mechanisms, and, most importantly, to ensure that the entire Diaspora feels itself a full beneficiary of the Republic of Armenia. This is our task, which we hope to solve with the participation of both you and our other structures and parties of the Diaspora».
The chairman of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party of the Western US, Raffi Balian, welcomed the Prime Minister of Armenia, stating: «Your Excellency Mr. Prime Minister, on behalf of the leadership of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party of the Western US region, we wish you a warm welcome to the city of Los Angeles and congratulate you on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of Independence Day. We are grateful for this opportunity. Our party, which is a century-old traditional Armenian party, carries out its activities in the territory of Western America, particularly in the cities of Fresno and Los Angeles. We continue this patriotic activity today as well, and we are always supportive of the mother homeland». The members of the party’s leadership stated that they stand by the Prime Minister of Armenia and support the comprehensive reforms implemented by the government, which are aimed at the progress and prosperity of Armenia.
The meeting discussed issues related to strengthening Armenia-Diaspora relations, the development of Armenia, and the full involvement of the Diaspora in the ongoing processes.
