The Armenian Ministry of Defense is denying information circulating in the media about Turkish F-16 fighter jets approaching Yerevan within striking distance.
During a conversation with Armenpress, the press secretary of the Armenian Minister of Defense, Shushan Stepanyan, denied the circulating report.
“That information does not correspond to reality,” Stepanyan stated.
The Avia.pro platform had reported that at least two Turkish military aircraft had headed toward Yerevan and were located 56 km from the Armenian capital. According to the source, the Turkish fighter jets conducted their flight in Azerbaijan’s airspace.
