The next stop in Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin’s vacation visits was Ararat Province, where the diplomat, together with his family, visited the archaeological excavation site in the village of Pokr Vedi, according to the Russian Embassy’s Facebook page in Armenia.
During the trip, Kopirkin also visited separate sections of the Armenian border, including the settlement of Yeraskh, where he met with Armenian and Russian border guards of the Ararat border detachment of the Russian FSB Border Service in Armenia.
During one of the stops, the ambassador, together with his family, laid flowers at the bust of border guard A.P. Koriakov. Koriakov was killed in 1948 during a clash with infiltrating forces from Turkish territory while carrying out his official duties.
