Shant Khachatryan, a Greco-Roman wrestler in the 67 kg weight category, has become a bronze medalist at the European Youth Championship. Armsport.am reports.
In the bout for the bronze medal, Shant Khachatryan defeated the representative of Lithuania with a score of 10-1.
After winning two fine victories in the opening rounds, Khachatryan had suffered a painful defeat in the quarterfinals at the hands of the representative of Turkey, with the match ending 5-5. Subsequently, the Armenian wrestler won the consolation match in 32 seconds and earned the right to wrestle for the bronze medal.
