The Spitak Medical Center will be repurposed from June 8 to serve the treatment of patients with the coronavirus. According to Armenpress, Lori Governor Andre Ghukasyan wrote this on his Facebook page.
“This decision was made following discussions with Health Minister Arsen Torosyan. This provides the opportunity to simultaneously offer medical service to a larger number of patients. The places, however, are not unlimited,” the governor noted, whose post was shared on his page by RA Health Minister Arsen Torosyan.
He informed that the Vedi Medical Center in Ararat Province has also been repurposed for the treatment of COVID-19. “The matters of having a COVID-19 department at the Martuni hospital and a COVID-19 center in Tavush Province are also being discussed,” added Arsen Torosyan.
