For the third day now, intense fighting continues along the borders of Artsakh and Armenia. This was stated today, 30 September, during a briefing by Vahram Poghosyan, press secretary of the President of Artsakh.
According to him, intense fighting continued throughout the night along the entire line of contact, with the northern and north-eastern directions being particularly active.
“Let me present to our international media that the Azerbaijani armed forces had certain successes only on the first day. On the night of the 27th, the Defense Army was able to restore most of the lost positions, achieve certain advances and successes, which are maintained to this day. The Defense Army can halt all offensive operations being carried out by the Azerbaijani army with the support of Turkish military forces. Yesterday, Turkey’s Ministry of Defense already announced that they are ready to take a more direct part. But we know that substantial Turkish military units are in Azerbaijan today, and with their support Azerbaijan is trying to achieve successes.
Last night, all offensive operations failed. At this moment, the Azerbaijani army has very heavy losses in military equipment and manpower,” he stated.
