Because the only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia has been blocked by Azerbaijan, 8 individuals with oncological diseases and pathologies requiring urgent surgical intervention were transferred today, 28 February, from the “Republican Medical Center” Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJSC) of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh to specialized medical centers of the Republic of Armenia, through the mediation and accompaniment of the International Committee of the Red Cross. This was announced by the Artsakh Information Headquarters.
Scheduled surgeries continue to be suspended in medical institutions operating under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh.
At the “Republican Medical Center,” 7 patients are in the intensive care unit, 3 of whom are in extremely critical condition.
Until today, a total of 135 patients have been transferred from Artsakh to Armenia through the mediation and accompaniment of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
