The commandant of the state of emergency declared in Armenia has decided to also resume courses at universities. This was written on his Facebook page by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Armenia, Arayik Harutyunyan:
“Dear students and lecturers, at the end of today’s discussion with the commandant, a decision was made to also resume courses at universities. On September 1, classes will begin only for first-year bachelor’s students. For information on the order of the start of classes and the schedules, consult the official websites of the universities,” wrote the minister.
Harutyunyan stated that for all other students, the start of classes will be given on September 15.
“At the meeting with the heads of universities, it was also recorded that the universities themselves will determine the method of organising classes, implementing it in different ways — in-person and remote. The universities will publish the details on their websites and will announce the schedule additionally,” noted Arayik Harutyunyan.
The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport added that the quality observance of anti-epidemic rules is the guarantee of ensuring the continuity of classes. In the event of not treating all this properly, restrictions are inevitable.
