In the second quarter of this year, the number of unemployed stood at 207,200 people, decreasing by 29,200. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, made a post about this on his Facebook page.
“I am glad to note that since the second quarter of 2019, we have a significant decrease in unemployment.
If in the second quarter of 2018 the number of unemployed stood at 236,400 people, then in the second quarter of 2019 the number of unemployed stood at 207,200 people, decreasing by 29,200 people.
Currently, unemployment in our country stands at 17.7 percent, which means that compared to the same period of the previous year, overall unemployment in our country has decreased by 2.5 percent,” wrote the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.
