“The preservation of peace is on the political agenda, but we must have strong and combat-ready armed forces,” declared the President of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, during a visit to the National Security Service’s Special Purpose Department.
According to a statement issued today, July 7, by the Information Department of the Artsakh President’s Office, Harutyunyan presented high state awards to those who distinguished themselves most during the 44-day war. He emphasized that, despite the war’s heavy outcome, the men had honorably fulfilled their duty of defending the homeland, fighting the enemy in every sector to the last bullet.
“I bow my head before the memory of all our martyrs. Thanks to you, today we continue to cherish Armenian identity and our dream of having an independent statehood in the saved part of our homeland. I am confident that together we still have great services to render to our homeland and our people,” said the President of Artsakh.
