With the support of Russian peacekeepers, more than 2,400 refugees have returned from Armenia to Mountainous Karabakh in the past day. TASS reports, citing the Russian Defence Ministry.
“In one day, with the support of Russian peacekeeping forces, 2,431 people returned from Armenia to Mountainous Karabakh. Since 14 November, 23,514 refugees have returned to their permanent places of residence,” the Russian military department stated.
The Ministry noted that “the ceasefire regime is being maintained along the entire line of contact.” With the coordination of the Russian peacekeeping forces and the International Committee of the Red Cross, work continues on the search for and exchange of the bodies of victims.
“Servicemen of the Russian peacekeeping contingent continue to clear mines from the territory of Mountainous Karabakh. In total, 24.67 hectares of territory, 8.2 km of roads and three socially significant structures have been cleared, and 766 explosive objects have been found and neutralised,” added the Russian Defence Ministry.
