At this moment we have 45 severe and extremely severe patients in the intensive care unit of the “Saint Grigor Lusavorich” Hospital. This was stated on 10 May during a Facebook live broadcast by Health Minister Arsen Torosyan, who visited the hospital.
According to him, there are another 70 severe and extremely severe patients in the hospital’s other departments.
The minister toured the hospital’s intensive care unit with the doctors, inquiring which chronic diseases predominate among the patients, to which a hospital staff member replied: “Among the diseases encountered, diabetes and arterial hypertension predominate.”
The minister also addressed the hospital’s workload: “The intensive care unit of the Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center is the largest in Armenia, and at this moment there is no free space.”
