At the Marie Izmirlyan orphanage, 15 people have been confirmed with the coronavirus — 6 staff members and 9 children.
This was stated during an interview with Armenpress by Sona Martirosyan, press secretary of the RA Minister of Labour and Social Affairs.
“At the Marie Izmirlyan orphanage, 46 people were tested. Of them, 15 were confirmed with the coronavirus — 6 staff members and 9 children. At this moment, no one from the institution has been transferred to hospital, as they have no symptoms. Both the staff and the children are feeling well,” said Martirosyan, adding that the day before yesterday, one of the nurses had a fever of 37.6 degrees, after which she was immediately isolated.
The minister’s press secretary stressed that the nurse is now at home, but the result of her test is not yet available.
“That is, we are not sure whether she was the source of infection or not. The nurse’s temperature at this moment is 37.4,” said Martirosyan.
102 children receive care at the Marie Izmirlyan orphanage.
“No one has had any entry or exit, no one has had symptoms. Only that nurse felt unwell,” said Sona Martirosyan.
