Today, 20 August 2020, the Chairman of the Central Board of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party, Mike Kharapyan, spoke by video link with the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Mr. Arayik Harutyunyan.
Mr. Kharapyan first expressed his gratitude to Mr. Harutyunyan for the opportunity of the online meeting. He said that the ADL Central Board closely follows the President’s activities and the programmes envisaged in various fields, highly appreciating his work and responsible approach.
Mr. Kharapyan also noted that the ADL regards the liberation of Artsakh as the first step in the claim to our lands. He reaffirmed that our party has always stood by the people and the statehood, and therefore fully supports the country’s elected President.
“We, as always, are ready today as well for every kind of cooperation towards the security of Artsakh, the strengthening of its statehood, and the peaceful and normal development of the country,” said Mr. Kharapyan.
Also discussed were the joint steps to be taken and the existing challenges regarding the strengthening of Homeland-Diaspora ties.
Mr. Harutyunyan, in turn expressing his gratitude, said that for him too it is an honour, regardless of the format, to communicate with the ADL Chairman Mr. Kharapyan, expressing the hope that they will meet in Artsakh in the near future.
The President of the Republic of Artsakh also expressed his gratitude that the ADL has always supported Artsakh, both in connection with social programmes and political issues, and is confident that this support will continue in the future as well.
“I highly appreciate the role of the traditional Armenian parties and Diaspora Armenian organisations in supporting the Homeland and in the work of its continuous development. Mr. Kharapyan’s readiness and dedication are yet another testimony to all that, and we for our part are ready and open to work with everyone on the pan-national agenda and issues related to Artsakh,” wrote the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, on his Facebook page about the meeting.
