The armed forces of Azerbaijan have shelled the archaeological camp of Tigranakert. This was announced on his Facebook page by archaeologist Hamlet Bedrosyan, head of the Tigranakert expedition, who also posted photographs.
He raised the alarm about cultural genocide in Artsakh.
Excavations have been carried out at Tigranakert in Artsakh since 2006. As early as August 2020, archaeologists had unearthed valuable finds there. Rich material for study was discovered in the early Christian square and the antique quarters.
