The “Walking Man” sculpture by renowned sculptor Arto Chakmakchyan is to be installed in the area of the Northern Avenue adjacent to Abovyan Street.
The Yerevan City Council has approved the draft decision.
“The master’s works are installed in squares and museums of various cities around the world, while the sculptor has always dreamed of having one of his works in Yerevan,” reads the statement issued by the Yerevan Municipality.
The costs of casting and installing the statue are to be covered by the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Sports and Culture.
