Joe Biden, the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate in the US presidential elections, has welcomed the resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide passed by the Senate.
“I welcome this most important legislation by the Senate, which officially recognizes the Armenian Genocide. If we do not fully accept the past, ‘never again’ loses its meaning. The facts must be as clear and powerful for future generations as they are for those whose memories have been wounded by the tragedy,” Joe Biden wrote on his Twitter page.
Let us recall that on December 12, the US Senate unanimously adopted the resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide, authored by Senators Robert Menendez and Ted Cruz.
