CONDOLENCE MESSAGE
The Lebanon Regional Board of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party learned with deep sorrow of the death of Romain Kozmoyan, Vice-President of the Committee for Cultural Relations with the Armenian Diaspora of Soviet Armenia.
Romain Kozmoyan was a high-level statesman. He held numerous positions — official at the Soviet Union embassy in Beirut, advisor to the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia, and former officer of the National Security Service with the rank of colonel. He used his knowledge, position and connections to serve the sons of our people, wherever he found himself and whatever office he assumed. He helped the student study in the homeland, helped the investor support the development of Armenia-Diaspora ties and the rise of Armenia’s economy, helped cultural or sports unions invite a group from Armenia or send a group to the homeland. He was always ready to facilitate matters and encourage all nation-building programs. He felt the exiled Armenian’s thirst for the homeland and spared no effort to encourage every initiative. He was a great friend of the exiled Western Armenians in the homeland. He was the right man in the right place.
On this sad occasion, the Lebanon Regional Board of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party expresses its heartfelt condolences to the family members, relatives and comrades-in-arms of Romain Kozmoyan. May the earth rest lightly upon you, noble son of Armenia, you who fulfilled the task entrusted to you with faithfulness and sincerity, reaching out to all without distinction. Incense and prayer before your bright memory. May God keep your soul in the light.
