Recently, at the “Baron” hotel in Cairo, an Armenian food fair was presented under the organization of the Egyptian-Armenian community.
It is also noted that Armenia displayed its traditional foods and costumes at the festival, with the participation of 17 Arab, African and Asian countries, and in the presence of Egypt’s Minister of Industry, Nivin Gamea.
During the festival, Armenian youth performed old and contemporary songs in Arabic and English, and presented Armenian folk dance in traditional Armenian attire. Among the well-known Armenian dishes were lavash bread, dolma, manti, harissa and dried fruits.
Participants highly praised Egypt’s role in hosting Armenians for more than 100 years without discrimination.
