The renowned French PAUL bakery-café chain, present in 46 countries around the world, will soon enter Armenia. After negotiations lasting more than two years, the Galaxy group of companies has signed an agreement with representatives of PAUL International. The agreement has confirmed the important news that 5 PAUL outlets will open in Armenia in the coming years, which will provide the opportunity to create around 200 new jobs.
“PAUL is an important project for us, which, of course, brings new quality and standards to the Armenian market. In general, in the Galaxy group of companies, the hotel and restaurant sector is one of the important directions where we have been bringing innovations for years, changing the rules of the game in the sector, and PAUL is our latest achievement in this regard. This brand, with a history of 130 years, is a whole philosophy that teaches the art of loving and enjoying life through small joys — the French ‘arts de vivre’,” said Artem Khachatryan, co-founder of the Galaxy group of companies and head of the PAUL project.
PAUL was founded in 1889, based on the best traditions of family business. Initially operating as a French bakery shop, it later expanded as a store, then a café-restaurant. Currently, PAUL International is managed by the 4th and 5th generations of PAUL founder Francis Holder, who personally follow the entire process, from the selection of grain to serving customers.
“We eagerly await PAUL’s arrival in Armenia,” said France’s Ambassador to Armenia Jonathan Lacôte, joining this important announcement.
It is important to note that PAUL is an accessible brand, and its pricing policy is structured so that French quality and lifestyle are close to everyone as desired.
PAUL is the third major international project announced by the Galaxy group of companies for 2019. The first was at the beginning of the year, when Galaxy announced the construction of the Innovation and Technology Park, and the second was in the summer, with the official launch of the Courtyard by Marriott hotel and residential complex project.
