Henrikh Mkhitaryan, captain of the Armenian national football team and midfielder for Italy’s “Roma,” is celebrating his 31st birthday.
According to “Armenpress”, Mkhitaryan began his football career at Yerevan’s “Pyunik” and subsequently played for Ukraine’s “Metalurh,” “Shakhtar,” Germany’s “Borussia Dortmund,” and England’s “Manchester United” and “Arsenal” clubs. Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s transfer rights belong to “Arsenal,” but at present he is playing on loan for the Italian club “Roma.”
He is the best scorer of the Armenian national team and has been named Armenia’s best footballer 8 times. Mkhitaryan is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in Armenia.
