World-renowned television star Kim Kardashian expressed support for Armenia on her Twitter page and condemned Azerbaijan’s attack against Armenia.
“Despite the ongoing global pandemic, Azerbaijan has violated the UN’s call for a global ceasefire and launched an attack on Armenia. Civilian infrastructure in Armenia has been targeted, and Azerbaijan now threatens to strike the nuclear power plant located in Armenia,” she wrote in her Twitter story.
She noted that, meanwhile, the US Congress is to discuss next week a bill to ban the supply of arms and military support to Azerbaijan.
“The international community must intervene, use political and diplomatic means to prevent further tension and loss of human life. I stand with my fellow countrymen and pray for those who are at the border during the latest tensions in the country.”
She urged a peaceful resolution of the situation in these already difficult conditions of the pandemic.
“I ask you to urge your senators and representatives to support Armenia,” Kardashian concluded.
