On Wednesday, October 21, at the invitation of the Consul General of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Bayburtyan, a press conference was organized at the Consulate General of the Republic of Armenia in Glendale.
During the organized press conference, the Consul General addressed a call to the Armenian community of Los Angeles, stating that there is an immediate need to continue humanitarian aid to reach the needs of Mountainous Karabakh.
Through two air flights already carried out by the Consulate General during the past week, medicine and other necessary aid have been transported to Armenia.
Bayburtyan also informed those present that the fundraising campaign launched on October 15 by the Armenian National Council at the consulate in favor of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund has already reached 3.2 million dollars, and it continues within the Armenian colony of Los Angeles, with many organizations doubling their pledged donations.
The Consul General also addressed the humanitarian ceasefires agreed upon on October 10 and 17, which were brutally violated by Azerbaijan, using as a pretext that the Minsk Group had not been able to find a solution through a diplomatic approach to settle the Mountainous Karabakh issue.
As for Turkey, by transporting mercenary terrorists to Azerbaijan, it is attempting to make the region insecure in order to realize its centuries-old Turanian dream.
At the conclusion of the press conference, there was again a call to appeal to community bodies so that the colony continues to contribute to the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund.
