Jeanne Barseghyan, a French politician and environmentalist of Armenian descent, has been elected mayor of Strasbourg.
She received 42.5% of the votes in the election.
She heads the list of the French party “Europe Ecology – The Greens.”
The party achieved good results in the municipal elections in May 2019.
Jeanne Barseghyan is 39 years old. Her main concerns are the climate and the fight against inequality.
