My Mother Tongue and Many Other Languages Are on the Brink of Extinction: Garo Paylan

My mother tongue, Western Armenian, and many other languages are on the brink of extinction. Garo Paylan, the Armenian-origin deputy of Turkey’s pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP), wrote this on his Facebook page. “On the occasion of International Mother Language Day, I wish that languages live fraternally in our country,” added Paylan.
