Unfortunately, 105 years later, Turkey still has not faced the reality of the Armenian Genocide. This was stated in a message addressed to the Armenian people on the Facebook page of the Coordinating Council of Armenian Organizations of France by Garo Paylan, a deputy of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
“From the Turkish parliament, I greet Armenians throughout the world. Armenians around the world are fighting for the recognition of the Armenian Genocide; I too am fighting in that direction in the Turkish parliament and spare no effort for justice. I believe that there is one parliament in the world whose recognition of the genocide would ease our pain. That is the Turkish parliament. I pay tribute to all the victims of the Armenian Genocide and to the memory of Sevag Balikci,” said the Armenian-origin deputy of Turkey.
