A meeting recently took place between representatives of Armenia, Jordan, and Palestine to discuss issues related to strengthening the Christian presence in the Holy City and particularly in the Old City, as well as to protect the historical and legal status of the Holy Places, based on international law and the relevant UN resolutions. We learn this from the website of the Higher Committee for Palestinian Church Affairs.
During the meeting, attention was focused on the Armenian Quarter and its sanctuaries, which constitute an inseparable part of the current situation and the Jordanian custodianship of Islamic and Christian holy sites, being a historical and human heritage since the fourth century BC.
It was noted that an agreement was reached on a memorandum of understanding to address the challenges facing the local church. They agreed to hold the next meeting in the near future.
