Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan wrote on his Facebook page:

“Dear compatriots,

I wish to start everyone’s workday with very good news. A short while ago we received the decision of the Board of Governors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). I am pleased to inform you that Yerevan has been selected as the venue for the EBRD’s 2021 annual meeting.

The annual meeting is the Bank’s most important event. That is, in the spring of 2021, Armenia will be the centre of attention of #EBRD 69 member countries, as well as other guests. This is an important achievement and a worthy assessment of the progress Armenia has registered in both the political and economic spheres.

And from this moment we begin working to carry out the event at the highest level.”
