Voskhana Mirkhanyan, a 106-year-old survivor of the Armenian Genocide, died on 14 April. The news was announced by the mayor of Lenughi village, Gegham Ghazaryan.

Voskhana Mirkhanyan was born in 1915 in Constantinople. She was raised by her grandmother and grandfather. The family managed to survive because armed Turks, entering their home, thought they had entered a Kurdish home and left. Afterwards, the family settled in Aleppo.
In 1965, Voskhana Mirkhanyan, together with her husband Garabed, moved to Armenia. Voskhana Mirkhanyan had two sons and three daughters.
