Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva on Monday visited the Karvachar and Kashatagh regions of Artsakh, which came under Baku’s control after the 44-day war, minval.az reported.
They attended the groundbreaking of a tunnel to be built in the Mrav mountain range (Murovdagh), and were briefed on the work being carried out at the small hydroelectric plant in Kashatagh. Subsequently, the opening of the “Kalbajar” 110/35/10 kilovolt substation took place.
During the visit, Aliyev also attended the groundbreaking of a tunnel to be built on the Karvachar-Berdzor highway, as well as the groundbreaking of the Berdzor international airport.
