On November 9, at 18:39, an alarm was received at the Ararat Province crisis management center that a Russian helicopter had fallen and caught fire in the gorge on the section of road leading from Yeraskh village to Paruyr Sevak village. Armenpress reports, citing the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The field group of the Ministry of Emergency Situations’ Rescue Service provincial rescue department and three combat units from fire-rescue squads left for the scene.
A source from Sputnik Armenia reported that the Russian helicopter was presumably downed by fire from the Nakhichevan side.
