Armenian Contestant at Miss Universe in the US Takes the Stage with a Banner Reading “Armenia for the Right to Live”

The semi-final of the “Miss Universe” beauty pageant was held the day before in New Orleans, USA, during which Armenia’s representative Kristina Ayanian took the stage alongside delegates from 84 countries around the world. Notably, during the national costume competition round, the beauty queen came on stage with a banner reading “Armenia for the Right to Live,” which she displayed to those present from the stage for several seconds.

While her national costume was being presented, the host noted that it was created on the theme of the Armenian Genocide and also symbolises the Armenian people’s struggle and resistance, and their hope for a bright future.

It should be noted that in all competition rounds, Ayanian took the stage after the participants from Albania, Angola and Argentina.
