On 24 August 2020, the medical team of Armenia’s humanitarian mission, in cooperation with Armenia’s Consulate General in Aleppo, delivered more than 2 tons of medical and healthcare supplies to Aleppo’s medical institutions. This was reported by the “Humanitarian Demining and Expertise Center” SNCO.
Local healthcare officials expressed their gratitude to the Armenian doctors for the provided medical supplies and for the daily medical assistance rendered at the “Hay Djeranots” (Armenian Old Age Home), “Tarmanatun” (Clinic), “Bethel” socio-medical centers, and a number of other medical institutions. According to them, Armenian and Syrian doctors are making joint efforts to help those affected.
The hospital director also thanked the Armenian authorities and health bodies for the aid and support shown from the very first days.
Armenia’s humanitarian group, in cooperation with the administration of Syria’s “Help Cross,” delivered necessary supplies and food to the children of the “National Shelter” orphanage belonging to the Armenian community in Aleppo. The administration of Syria’s “Help Cross” welcomed and thanked the humanitarian group for providing assistance under these difficult conditions and for caring for the children.
