In the second round of Group 4 of the Davis Cup tournament taking place in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, Armenia’s men’s team competed against the Azerbaijanis and won 2:1.
In the first match, Sedrak Khachatryan won 6:3, 6:0 against Elvin Hashimov. In the second match, Mikael Avetisyan lost 5:7, 4:6 to Tamerlan Azizov. In the doubles match, Sedrak Khachatryan and Henrik Nikoghosyan competed against Tamerlan Azizov and Elvin Hashimov. Armenia’s pair won 6:4, 1:6, 6:1.
In the first round, Armenia’s team had defeated Albania’s team 2:1. Group A also includes Montenegro’s team, which has defeated Azerbaijan and Albania in its previous 2 matches. The tournament will conclude on 26 June.
