In the first round of France’s presidential election, according to preliminary data, the leader is the incumbent president Emmanuel Macron, having gathered 27.41 percent of the votes, after the processing of 95 percent of the ballots. This was reported by the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic.
In second place is the National Rally candidate Marine Le Pen, who received 24.03 percent of the votes. In third place is the leader of the left-wing movement “France Unbowed,” Jean-Luc Mélenchon, with 21.57 percent of the votes.
