Former French President Jacques Chirac has passed away in Paris. The news was reported by MTV station.
He was elected President of France in 1995 and during his tenure became one of the advocates of the West-East dialogue.
Chirac harbored friendly feelings toward Armenia.
Chirac was 87 years old.
