The number of coronavirus infection cases worldwide has surpassed 200 million. Johns Hopkins University reported such data, compiling figures from federal and local authorities, media outlets, and other open sources.
According to the university’s data, the total number of infections to date stands at 200,014,602. Throughout the course of the pandemic, 4,252,873 patients have died.
It is worth recalling that the World Health Organization declared the COVID-19 outbreak a pandemic on 11 March 2020.
