Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis stated in an interview with Sky News Arabia that Turkey acts as a destabilizer in the region.
“Look at what is happening in Cyprus, Libya, and the Caucasus. It seems there are no common understandings with Turkey on important strategic priorities. And this is not merely an observation on Greece’s part. Many countries in the region share the same view about Turkey’s role as a destabilizer,” he said.
Asked how he assesses the European Union’s stance regarding Ankara’s activities in the Eastern Mediterranean, Mitsotakis said that European leaders are making it clear that there are two options: “There is the option of cooperation, and another option that leads to the deterioration of relations between Turkey and the EU, with inevitable consequences for Ankara.”
