A deplorable act of vandalism has been recorded in the state of Washington, United States.

This is reported by «Arevelk», citing a source close to the Prelacy of the West Coast of the United States.

The only Armenian church operating in the city of Redmond, Washington was attacked days ago, as a result of which the perpetrators of the vandalism broke the glass of the window located behind the Holy Altar of the Holy Resurrection Church.

The church officials, who reported the incident to the local law enforcement authorities, also noted that the provocateurs used the paving stones of the Armenian Genocide Martyrs’ Monument located in the churchyard to smash the church windows.

An investigation has been opened regarding the incident, and Armenian bodies in the area have issued strongly worded statements regarding what happened.

It should be noted that the Holy Resurrection Church is the only one in the Redmond area near the city of Seattle, and approximately 3,000 Armenian families live in that area.
