French President Emmanuel Macron will hold talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan via video conference on Tuesday evening, TASS reported.
It was noted that this will be the first talks between the two leaders in six months. The video conference is scheduled to begin at 18:00 local time; how long it will last is not known.
The media also does not know what topics will be discussed during the talks, but as is known, the two leaders have numerous disagreements and frequently make public criticisms of each other.
In the autumn and early winter of 2020, Macron had stated that Paris had information that Ankara was bringing militants from Syria to participate in the war in Nagorno-Karabakh. He had also threatened to impose sanctions against Turkey if it did not abandon its unilateral actions against Greece and Cyprus.
