Russia Temporarily Suspends Air Traffic with Turkey

Russia will restrict air traffic with Turkey from April 15 to June 1 to prevent the importation of the new “Corona” virus infection. Russia will restrict air traffic with Turkey from April 15 to June 1 to prevent the importation of the new “Corona” virus infection. This was announced by Russian Federation Deputy Prime Minister Tatiana Golikova, TASS reports.

“We have decided to restrict regular and charter air traffic from Russia’s international airports to the airports of the Republic of Turkey and in the reverse direction from April 15 of this year to June 1 of this year. With the exception of the routes necessary for the participation of the joint-stock company ‘Concern Titan-2’ in the construction of the nuclear power plant, the evacuation of Russian citizens vacationing in the Republic of Turkey, as well as maintaining two mutually weekly flights — Moscow – Istanbul, Istanbul – Moscow,” Golikova said.

Air traffic with Tanzania and Turkey will be restored if the situation related to the “Corona” virus in these countries stabilizes. According to her, the British variant of the virus has been recorded in each of Turkey’s 81 provinces.
