Maria Zakharova, the official representative of Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said today that Moscow welcomes the trilateral dialogue between Yerevan, Tbilisi and Baku, “if it is not subject to the destructive influence of the West.”
“If the trilateral dialogue between Yerevan, Tbilisi and Baku contributes to the regulation of contradictions in the Transcaucasus, to the strengthening of stability and security in the region, then we can only welcome it.
If, however, the designs of Washington and Brussels are somehow visible behind this initiative, whose purpose is to undermine the implementation of the trilateral agreements of the leaders of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan, then this is already another story,” Zakharova said during a briefing.
