Spain’s Congress has adopted the latest motion by Deputy Jon Iñarritu, by which Congress expresses its condolences to the families of the civilian and military victims of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. This was reported by the Armenian Embassy in Spain.
The motion reaffirms the deep bonds of friendship with the Armenian people, deems important the protection of Armenian cultural and religious centres in territories under or passing under Azerbaijan’s control, the increase of humanitarian aid volumes by the EU to the population of Nagorno-Karabakh should the need arise, as well as the return of internally displaced persons and refugees to their places of residence.
It is noted that none of the political forces represented in Congress voted against the aforementioned motion.
