Turkey’s Human Rights Association Calls for Recognition of the Armenian Genocide and Reparations

The Human Rights Association of Turkey (IHD) issued a call to the Turkish authorities on the 105th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The call states: “Our demand is the same: recognize, apologize, and compensate. April 24 is the symbolic day of the genocide committed against Armenians, Assyrians, and Greeks. On April 24, 1915, prominent Armenians were taken from their homes in Istanbul and sent to their deaths.”
