US House of Representatives to Consider Blocking Defense Aid to Azerbaijan

Following Azerbaijan’s attacks on Armenia’s border areas in recent years, the US House of Representatives intends to consider the issue of blocking the supply of defense aid to Azerbaijan by the United States. Following Azerbaijan’s attacks on Armenia’s border areas in recent years, the US House of Representatives intends to consider the issue of blocking the supply of defense aid to Azerbaijan by the United States. This was announced by the Armenian National Committee of America.

“As Azerbaijan intensifies its cross-border attacks, these changes give Congress the opportunity to resist and restrain Aliyev’s hostility,” said Aram Hambaryan, the committee’s executive director.

The vote on the issue is scheduled to take place on Monday.

The proposed bill stipulates that no American aid may be provided to the government of Azerbaijan until the president determines and reports to Congress that the Azerbaijani government is taking demonstrable steps to cease all blockades and other aggressive uses of force against Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.
