Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has stated that Baku will pressure the OSCE Minsk Group’s attempts to deal with the Karabakh issue.
“I have no information about what the OSCE Minsk Group is doing. I assume that they are now preparing for the anniversary events. The Minsk Group was created in 1992 and this year marks its 30th anniversary. They are probably busy preparing these events. But jokes aside, I think they should set an agenda for themselves,” Aliyev said.
He noted that he has an idea of what the OSCE Minsk Group should do and what it should not.
“I can say what they should not do. They should not deal with the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, because it has been resolved. Instead of them, we resolved this issue. And their absence, I think, is due to this,” Aliyev said.
He added that Azerbaijan will pressure the OSCE Minsk Group’s attempts to deal with the Karabakh issue.
“Because we do not allow that. We have been a party to this conflict. If one of the parties says that the conflict is resolved, then there is no place for mediation, and our position has been conveyed to them. Perhaps they should think about what to do,” he said.
