Azerbaijan Uses Cluster Munitions in Nagorno-Karabakh: Human Rights Watch

The international human rights organization Human Rights Watch has clearly emphasized that Azerbaijan is using banned cluster munitions against civilian settlements in Nagorno-Karabakh. This is stated in the organization’s report. During October 2020, HRW experts documented 4 cases of cluster munitions use in Nagorno-Karabakh. Furthermore, Stephen Goose, the organization’s director of the Arms Division, stated that the continued use of cluster munitions, particularly in populated areas, demonstrates a disregard for the safety of the civilian population.
